In Christianity, Ahavah (אַהֲבָה) is the Hebrew word for love, representing a deep, active, and selfless divine love, similar to the Greek agape, emphasizing choice, giving, commitment, and putting others first, as seen in God's unconditional love for humanity and the call for believers to love God and their neighbor through action, sacrifice, and devotion, rooted in the idea of "giving" from its verb root ahav
Ahavah House ATL is a blessing in progress, positioned to become a cornerstone in the lives of female teen mothers and single-parent women. It will serve as a Christ-centered live, learn, and create community—one where women are supported holistically and empowered to thrive.
The foundation of this organization will intentionally foster traditional and essential elements of support, including spiritual awareness and maturity, higher education attainment, career development, safe housing, self-care, practical parenting skills, and healthy relationship building, among other disciplines.
Each woman participating in Phase I—the single-parent support group—will receive access to a customized life plan, developed one-on-one to meet her unique needs, along with community partnership resources designed to support her growth and stability.
More importantly, Ahavah House ATL will invest in women in ways others often hesitate to explore by providing sound, biblically based teaching that addresses real-life interpersonal needs while standing alongside each participant through practical discovery and implementation. This investment extends not only to the women themselves, but also to the precious children they are charged with raising.
It is our sound belief that Information can be shared endlessly; however, without genuine investment into the soul of an individual, information alone is often lost—never tested, tried or true.
The positive impact Ahavah House ATL aspires to achieve is the strengthening of communities through the cultivation of emotional resilience, the reduction of isolation, and the intentional building of healthy social bonds among families. Through shared resources and collaborative support, Ahavah House ATL will promote stability, leading to increased confidence and improved overall well-being for both parents and children.
